Partner4Work and UPMC, which is helping to create new opportunities in behavioral health, have received funding of $1 million from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). This funding will be used to support the Certified Recovery Specialist trainings in southwestern PA and the surrounding areas.
This funding will be used to help provide one-to-one peer support for people who are suffering from substance use disorder. UPMC Health Plan and Partner4Work have been working together for many years with the goal of recruitment and training of Medicaid.
People living in southwestern Pennsylvania will get the most benefit from it as it will employ those who live in these areas and who are suffering from substance use disorders. Candidates can apply by following this pacertboard.org link, and preference will be given to veterans, single parents, and re-entrants.
